Abnormal mature megakaryocytes, late NRBCs, M-7 leukemia

These Abnormal Mature Megakaryocytes are small, contain reduced numbers of nuclei and reduced amounts of cytoplasm. At right of center is a young megakaryocyte with a single nucleus and prominent Golgi apparatus and little granulation. At its right is an early binucleated megakaryocyte. Several late NRBCs with poor cytoplasmic development are in the field. Acute Megakaryocytic Leukemia (M-7). Marrow - 50X
