Small Platelets, Megathrombocyte, Platelets Overlying RBC

Ten small Platelets, 5 larger forms, and a Megathrombocyte. All are normal in morphology. A megathrombocyte is larger than half the size of a normocytic RBC. Note two Platelets Overlying Red Cells in the center of the field. They are located in the biconcave area of a red cell. Normal EDTA anticoagulated blood - 100X
