Left frame: Numerous small and large platelets and 1 large megathrombocyte. All are round in shape, swollen in size and partially agranular - common changes in EDTA anticoagulated blood. Right frame: Many small and large platelets and two megathrombocytes; one of which is elliptical shape. Note the heavy granulation in the platelets and megathrombocytes in this capillary blood smear.
