Rouleaux formation of the red cells, which appear in chains or stacks in a proper field for examination. In addition to long chains there are many doublets and triplets. There is a slight bluish color in the background due to plasma proteins which have precipitated on the glass slide and been stained. Multiple myeloma. Blood - 60X
